WILDHOOD (DVD)
In WILDHOOD, a stunning gay coming-of-age fable, we hit the road in eastern Canada’s remote Mi’kmaq territory with Link (Philip Lewitski) and his younger half-brother Travis (Avery Winters-Anthony), in search of Link’s indigenous mother. On the way they meet Pasmay (Joshua Odjick), a two-spirit lone-wolf who is clearly attracted to Link; a desire that is mutual and fully explored as Link connects with his identity, Mi’kmaq roots and sexuality.
Beautifully shot in magnificent Nova Scotia locations, writer/ director Bretten Hannam’s WILDHOOD is a critically acclaimed and sensitively observed tale of gay love and self-acceptance.
